EVEREST
A JOURNEY TO BASE CAMP
Everest Base Camp - On A Horse

From my work in Ghana, I made a connection that led me to an opportunity to meet an interesting young man called Max, who had a crazy idea. So, on a cold winters morning in central London, back in January 2017, I met a man who’s story would change my life.
See Max had an idea, to become the first physically disabled person to trek to
Everest Base Camp - on horseback, and he wanted me to help tell his story.
Over the next 6 years, I built trust with Max, his family, and his future wife, Candy. Learning more about his life as a disabled man, in a very ablest world, and seeing his own journey of discovering self-worth, and shedding his ‘faux-macho’ image; put up as a defence.
And within this journey, we went on this Everest adventure together, along with a motley crew of friends, supporters, and an incredible Sherpa team.
What you see here, are just a few photos taken from that journey on Everest, as we trekked to 5,364m over 11 days.
In 2023, 6 years after meeting Max, I released my feature debut, ‘My Everest’, a British documentary released in cinemas, that tells Max’s story, as he attempts to conquer Everest, and to find his own self-worth.
